Context – In 2023, we completed the largest-ever survey of podcasters specifically exploring the correlations between their marketing efforts and their results.
In year two, we’re looking to build on the success of the inaugural report.
Goal – Expand the number of survey respondents to 1,000+ while updating and expanding on the findings from last year’s report.
Content – The survey will look at marketing tactics & strategies, tools, budget, team size, goals, results, and more across three categories — Indie creators, brands & networks, and podcast marketing professionals.
Timeline – The survey will go out at the start of February, and wrap up at the end of the month, with a live results announcement event tentatively scheduled for May.
Partner Opportunities – We’re primarily looking for distribution partners to help spread the word about the survey. In exchange, you’ll get a custom landing page to send your people to, plus your logo on the finished report and all associated assets including email broadcasts to the Podcast Marketing Academy list (12k+ subscribers).

For creators and publishers, this data will give more clarity into podcast marketing best practices, as well as a set of benchmark growth metrics to compare their own marketing and growth against.
For brands & individuals servicing the podcast industry, the data will help identify opportunities within the industry for education, product development, resource creation, and more.
**Report Website —**The primary deliverable at the end of the survey will be a custom-built report website similar to this one from last year’s report.
Live Announcement Event — The findings of the report will be revealed at a free one-day virtual summit-style event. The event will feature a selection of talks and panels featuring our partners, Q&A, and more.
Podcast Series — Following the data analysis, we’ll be producing a short-run podcast series talking through the findings of the survey and what it means for creators as well as brands servicing the industry.
Email Series — In addition to the podcast, we’ll also be creating a follow-up newsletter series talking through the findings and what they mean.
